"Kupa'a"
Kupa'a (pronounced Coop-ah) lives in New Hampshire with his owners Paul and Mary Rakoski. Mary fell in love with him during their puppy visit, but I couldn't promise them any particular puppy. At the 8 week evaluation, Kupa'a (then Galaxy), turned out to be the only show quality male out of the litter. Originally, the sire's owners wanted a male but they fell in love with a little girl so this little boy remained available. His temperament fit the Rakoski's very well so they got the puppy Mary had fallen for. His name means "loyal" in Hawaiian. The pups were born on their anniversary and they had honeymooned in Hawaii so felt it was fate.
Kupa'a's new home was meant to be a pet/hunt home. And so it was... until they kept getting compliments on him! When he was 6 months old he was brought to a dog show I was at to be re-evaluated. Once I found the puppy under all his fluffy fur, what a nice boy he is!!! He is his daddy's clone. He's since run in his first Field Trial, tried his first hunt test, and plans to strut his stuff in the show ring when he's a bit older. I am very excited to be given the opportunity to show him off. Thank you Paul and Mary!
