"Grace"
What a very special and lucky girl Miss Grace is! Grace (formerly Celeste) went home to live with her daddy JJ and his owners Jeff and Patricia Ellis. Jeff and Pat had no intentions on taking a girl home, and weren't sure if they would take a puppy home for that matter. They met us in New Hampshire for the 8 week evaluation and it was soon clear things were going to change. Jeff somehow attached himself to this one pretty little girl, and no one could have torn her from his arms. Gracie was evaluated as pick of the litter, but I knew after Alaïs was evaluated as show quality she was staying with me. Grace slept on Jeff's shoulders the entire way back to New York, and has never stopped being "his girl".
I love hearing about Gracie's personality, how she tortures her dad and uncle Josh, creeps off the deck to try and sneak up on the birds in the bushes, jumps onto the counter at just 10 weeks old (BAD Gracie!), and a assortment of other stories Pat often calls to tell me about. At the puppies debut in March '11 she won every class she was placed in, both regular and sweepstakes. Her very next show she took a 5 point major reserve at just 8 months of age! But Grace does things her own way and when she was ready to win, she sure did. She took back-to-back specialty majors at the Hudson Valley Brittany Club shows in 2012, and followed it by finishing going Best of Opposite during another specialty weekend. I was so thrilled to be there to see her finish! She is handled by JJ's breeder, her grammy, Karen Lovell of Southgate Brittanys. Gracie loves Karen and you can see it. She is a very special girl who is loved very much, and I am so thankful for the wonderful home she has with Pat and Jeff.
